Question 1

Is this restaurant bill generator really free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 100% free with unlimited receipts, PDF downloads, and thermal print jobs. There are no subscriptions, hidden fees, watermarks, or account registration walls.

Question 2

Is my restaurant or customer data stored on your server?

Accepted Answer

No. All calculations, logo uploads, and document generation execute entirely client-side inside your browser. No bill data or personal information is ever uploaded or saved on external servers.

Question 3

Can I print receipts directly to an 80mm thermal printer?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Click the 'Print' button to open your browser print dialog. Set the paper size to 80mm (or 3-inch roll), margins to none/minimum, and print directly to any ESC/POS thermal printer.

Question 4

How do taxes like GST, VAT, or Sales Tax work?

Accepted Answer

You can choose between Indian GST splits (2.5% CGST + 2.5% SGST or 9% + 9%), a custom single flat tax rate (ideal for VAT or US Sales Tax), or zero tax (0%). You can also apply service charges and discounts.

Question 5

Can I add my restaurant logo to the receipt?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Simply click 'Upload Custom Logo' in the Restaurant & Header section. Your logo will be embedded directly at the top of your receipt and included in exports.

Question 6

Which receipt formats and paper styles are available?

Accepted Answer

We offer 5 purpose-built templates (Thermal POS 80mm, Modern Minimalist Café Slip, Fine Dining Folio, Formal GST/Tax Invoice, Compact 58mm Quick Receipt) and realistic paper textures including Plain, Realistic Crumpled, Folded Creased, and Vintage Aged.
